

Position Title: AV Lead Technician
Travel: 80% Travel Ability Nationwide
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The AV Lead Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT-related systems. This position requires thinking independently and working within the specified guidelines with minimal supervision.
Pay range in Denver, CO
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Base salary
$73,000/yr - $85,000/yr
About the Role
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to lead small to medium scale AV projects
Assumes responsibility of leading a team of technicians on small to medium size AV build outs
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reporting accurately daily to the assigned project manager
Analyze and interpret system drawings
Perform installation, adjustment, and operation of audiovisual equipment such as cameras, speakers, displays, projectors, and microphones
Cable management above ceilings, under tables, and within racks
Pull and terminate various types of cabling connections (CAT6, Crestron DM, Cresnet, RS232, Speaker wire, mic wire, XLR connectors, phoenix connectors, soldering, etc.)
Ability to solder
Registration and setting changes of VTC codec endpoints (Cisco, Poly)
Proficient with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and QSC hardware components
Perform hardware upgrades to all AV components
Proficient with Crestron Toolbox, Biamp Tesira, Q-SYS, and Shure software
Ability to fine tune digital signal processors (DSP) including QSC and Biamp
Ability to work with a remote system programmer to load and diagnose problems
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, VLANs, and VPN
Comfortable and able to communicate with C-Level executives
Ability to perform knowledge transfer and educate customers on installed equipment and receive a final sign off from the customer showing job completion
Compile and submit all project related deliverables including redlining CAD documents

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
4+ years’ experience in collaboration or Audio-Visual Integration
High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
