Pixel Technologies is hiring an Audio Visual Project Engineer


POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Project Engineer provides post-sales engineering support and acts as the subject matter expert/technical consultant to the Project Management team. This includes generating change orders and applicable supporting documentation (high-level system sketch(es), bill of materials, scope of work, labor estimate and/or breakdown, and highlighting deployment requirements and/or risks) as well as enforcing Pixel design and integration standards, and escalating design issues back to Design Engineers. The Project Engineer will also provide advanced technical support to the operations division in support of system integration and service/support engagements. Additionally, the Project Engineer is expected to complete post-sales reviews of design and proposal documentation as well as mentoring and cross training for commissioning engineers, and AV integration specialists.

About the Role

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


· Create and document change orders based on site conditions and project feedback from internal and external stakeholders

· Review systems designs and SOWs from the Design Team

· Attend calls and/or site visits as technical subject matter expert with the project manager

· Review and refine pre-construction site design and architectural documentation with the Design Team as required

· Identify logistical requirements or challenges with executing the proposed system design

· Develop design documentation for custom hardware

· Provide advanced engineering support to project delivery teams as required

· Attend manufacturer and industry training to remain up to date on technologies, trends, and design requirements


SUCCESS FACTORS:


· 50% Travel Ability Nationwide

· Demonstrated IP network design/architecture experience

· Enterprise Video Teleconference and Unified Communications design experience

· First-hand experience configuring, programing, and supporting audio, video, and control systems

· Ability to work and think independently to meet deadlines and delivery requirements

· Strong interpersonal communication skills

· Business and technical writing skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam


WORK ENVIRONMENT:


· May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated

· When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:


· Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated AV/IT system design experience

· AVIXA CTS certification

· Formal education in electronics or related fields preferred

· AVIXA CTS-D and/or BICSI RCDD certifications

· Manufacturer audio, video, and control system certifications
