POSITION OVERVIEW:

The AV Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned geographic territory. This individual will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while also nurturing and expanding relationships with existing customers. Working closely with the Design Engineering team, the Account Manager ensures that customer needs are translated into innovative, tailored audiovisual solutions that meet the customers desired outcomes.

About the Role

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Sales & Business Development

· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets within the assigned region.

· Prospect, identify, and acquire new customers through networking, referrals, and outbound activities.

· Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities across vertical markets.

· Foster long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Customer Engagement & Account Management

· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

· Conduct regular business reviews with customers to understand evolving needs and present new solutions.

· Manage and grow existing accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

· Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively to maintain trust and loyalty

Solution Development & Collaboration

· Partner with the Design Engineering team to translate customer requirements into effective AV/UC solutions.

· Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and proposals that clearly communicate value and ROI.

· Stay informed on the latest AV, Unified Communications, and collaboration technologies to provide consultative guidance.

Territory & Market Management

· Maintain strong knowledge of the assigned geographic market, including competitive activity and industry trends.

· Represent the company at local trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings within the region.

· Report regularly on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts


SUCCESS FACTORS:


· 40% Travel Ability within geographic territory

· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

· Strong understanding of AV system design, integration, and related technologies (preferred).

· Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (engineering, project management, operations).

· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable managing a geographic territory

· Business writing skills


WORK ENVIRONMENT:


· Office Environment – Regular use of company offices for meetings, collaboration, and administrative tasks.

· Customer Sites – Frequent visits to customer facilities for sales calls, site surveys, solution demonstrations, and relationship management.

· Home Office – Flexibility to perform sales planning, reporting, and virtual meetings from a remote/home office setup.

· Travel – Travel within the assigned geographic region is required; occasional overnight travel may be necessary.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:


· 3–5+ years of sales experience in the Audio/Visual, Unified Communications, or related technology industry.

· Formal Education in sales or related fields

· Experience Managing a $5 million portfolio
